ARKANSAS COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS ANNOUNCES 2027 HALL OF FAME CLASS

The Arkansas Country Music Awards has announced its 2027 Hall of Fame class as the organization prepares for its 10th anniversary awards celebration.

The new class includes Tracy Lawrence, Jim “Moose” Brown, Dave Gibson, and Eck Robertson, honoring four Arkansas-connected figures whose work reflects different chapters of country music history.

Tracy Lawrence, who grew up in Foreman, Arkansas, became one of country radio’s defining voices of the 1990s, with a long run of major hits and No. 1 singles.

Jim “Moose” Brown, a Nettleton native, built a wide-ranging career as a musician, songwriter and producer, earning a Grammy for co-writing “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”

Dave Gibson, born in El Dorado, became a successful Nashville songwriter and performer whose songs were recorded by leading country artists, while also finding success with the Gibson/Miller Band.

Eck Robertson, born in Madison County in 1887, was an early commercial country recording pioneer whose fiddle recordings helped document the music in the industry’s formative years.
