Thank You for Helping Us Carry the Music Forward

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped us prepare for our journey to Missouri Valley, Iowa, and to everyone at KWMV 88.5 FM who helped us complete several special broadcasts preserving and presenting the music and stories of Mountain View, Arkansas.

Most importantly, we thank Joe Hart, founder of KWMV 88.5 FM, for everything he has done to provide Mountain View with so many wonderful programs. We appreciate The Alice Show, one of the favorite shows on KWMV, The Al Timberlane Show, The Randy Weedy Show, the country music and cowboy programs, and all the other voices that help keep our musical heritage alive.

Thank you, Steve Holloway, for a wonderful interview promoting the special Friday-night celebration of Jimmy Driftwood at the Jimmy Driftwood Barn on September 18.

Thank you, M.A. Sterling, for joining us for an outstanding interview and giving us such a wonderful send-off as we prepare to spread the good news about folk, bluegrass, gospel, and Americana music—from Missouri Valley, Iowa, all the way to New York City.

We also thank everyone who listened to the M.A. Sterling broadcast. We welcomed listeners from New York, Texas, Michigan, Louisiana, Iowa, Arkansas, and beyond. We had a record number of listeners, and we sincerely appreciate every one of you.

We are also getting ready for the OK Trading Post Front Porch Jam on October 10. The posters are already out, so get ready, folks! We are looking forward to the Jacob Austin Band and a wonderful gathering of pickers from across Mountain View and beyond, including musicians connected with the Jimmy Driftwood Barn and the Ozark Folk Center.

We hope to hear Joe Roe on banjo, along with stand-up bass players, fiddlers, guitar pickers, and possibly some outstanding musicians traveling from Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Thank you as well to Syllamo Printing for preparing our presentation artwork, business cards, stickers, and materials, and to our gifted artist, Garry Rone, for creating some of the most important original artwork featured in these projects.
