The Van Dyke Acoustic Review Honored During South Bend Concert Film Production

South Bend, Indiana — September 2026

Timberlane Entertainment Company LLC recently completed a successful concert film production featuring The Van Dyke Acoustic Review at the Chris Wilson Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana.

The production was part of Timberlane’s continuing work with Folk Music Rewind, KWMV 88.5 FM, and the American Songbook — 250 Songs in 250 Days, preserving performances and stories connected with American folk, gospel, rockabilly, Americana, and rock-and-roll traditions.

During the event, John Van Dyke was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award and an American Semiquincentennial medallion recognizing his decades of contribution to music and the arts throughout Niles, Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, and the surrounding region.

The remaining members of The Van Dyke Acoustic Review were also presented with individual Semiquincentennial medallions honoring the group’s more than 20 years of musical contribution.

The commemorative medallions are part of a limited run connected with America’s 250th anniversary and were acquired by Timberlane Entertainment for presentation to musicians, artists, and others whose work has contributed to American music and culture.

John Van Dyke’s musical history reaches back to the late 1950s and early 1960s. During the South Bend performance, his work included keyboard, guitar, and lead vocals. Dave Van Dyke contributed lead vocals, guitar, and saxophone.

Together with the group’s longtime bass player and drummer, The Van Dyke Acoustic Review presented a strong live program of Beatles tribute music, rockabilly, Americana, and classic rock and roll.

Timberlane Entertainment was originally commissioned by Dave Van Dyke to produce a short filmed segment of the performance. The production expanded to include the entire concert, creating a more complete archival record of the event.

The project was produced and edited by Al Timberlane, with camera work by Lori Timberlane and executive production by Rebecca Timberlane and Al Timberlane.

Timberlane Entertainment also represented KWMV 88.5 FM during the event, sharing the story of Mountain View, Arkansas — the Folk Music Capital of the World — with the South Bend audience.

For Timberlane Entertainment, the project represents another step forward in the development of the Timberlane Media Archive, preserving performances, interviews, musicians, and regional American music history for future generations.

The complete concert footage will now move into the editing and archival process.
